chinese = food?

after all these years, being Chinese (albeit Malaysian), I've come to realize that FOOD plays a very important role in our culture! we always find a reason to get together and eat... whether it's chinese new year, new addition to the family, birthdays, festivals (eg. mid-autumn, winter solstis etc.) or simply just for the fun of it...
being a true chinese (ie. big FOOD enthusiast), i thoroughly enjoyed my recent HongKong trip for reasons none other than the excellent food (not to mention variety) that pleased me, gastronomically speaking!! and of course, the shopping too. haha.. but that's another topic altogether.. :P
So if you're heading to Hong Kong anytime soon, here are my top recommendations:
[L-R, top-bottom]
DimSum @ Jade Gardens, Star House, Tsim Sha Tsui
Wanton Mee @ Tasty Congee & Noodle Wantun Shop, IFC Mall, Chung Wan (Central)
Typical "Char Chan Teng" food @ Tsui Wah (24 hours), Wellington St, Central
Desserts @ Honeymoon Dessert, IFC Mall (this is HIGHLY recommended)
Portugese Egg Tart @ Macau
Bubble Tea, Curry Fish Ball @ Mongkok, Kowloon (my tastebuds were immensely satisfied)
Hot and Sour La Mian @ Crystal Jade, HarbourCity, Kowloon
I bet you are salivating after this post! :P Well, even if you're not going to HK, these yummy treats can be found in most places, and they should taste just fine! So, go ahead, eat! because there's always a reason to :)
